Here are some ways to pay for the new healthcare bill:
• Increase the price of everything across the board. That way everyone, rich and poor, will contribute; no one will be ``forced'' to buy healthcare. That's what they do in Canada, and it works.
• Triple the tax on alcohol and cigarettes: Drinkers and smokers are inordinately responsible for healthcare costs.
• Triple and enforce fines for texting and cellphone use while driving.
• Legalize marijuana (a good cash crop for farmers) and tax the daylights out of it . This will keep much of our money in this country instead of in the drug cartels in Mexico.
• Make illegal immigrants legal green-card carrying people. Tax them and their employers.
• Enforce the recovery of billions of stolen Medicare dollars. Confiscate the criminals' money, boats, mansions, cars, jewels -- everything.
Money that is recouped should go directly into the healthcare fund.
